Pete discovered Yoga in 2003 as a way to alleviate the physical and mental stresses of prolonged touring. A professional musician for nearly 15 years, he found that his Yoga practice gave him radical changes in strength and mental clarity whilst maintaining his health in a very unhealthy profession! The physical benefits over time deepened and led him to an interest in meditation and the philosophical aspects of Yoga. It is this which has become his passion.
Pete’s classes aim to combine the high octane workout of Power Yoga while looking to explore the relationship between body, breath and spirit. Initially self taught, Pete experienced a wide range of Yoga styles before training with Erich Schiffman at the Santa Barbara Yoga Institute. Erich was a disciple of Krishnamurti and had the opportunity to study at length with the great yogis Desikachar and Iyengar. Pete trained at the Power Yoga Company and loves the challenging and dynamic Power Yoga style.
