Harriet first came to yoga after being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. In 2014 she moved to London, discovered Dynamic Vinyasa and Power yoga and was totally hooked! Like many, at first it was the physical demands of asana practice she enjoyed the most but after experiencing the life changing physical and mental effects it was having on her body she then came to truly appreciate the wider benefits of yoga. Naturally a person of high energy, yoga has enabled Harriet to slow down (at times!) and be more present in her life, restoring balance to both the body and mind and provided her a way to live a happier and fuller life.
Harriet did her first training (200 hours) at Shanti Power Yoga in 2016 and continued her studies under Ashtanga guru David Swenson in 2017 and completed her 60hour Yin yoga training in June 2018. Harriet aims to guide you through a challenging class, full of love and good humour, with a strong emphasis on anatomical alignment and good technique to build strength and prevent injury. You can expect to leave her class feeling sweaty but energised, nurtured and hopefully with a little bit more Santosha in your life! Harriet is passionate about yoga and teaching it, she is dedicated to providing a safe place for others to practice so they too can experience the powerful benefits of yoga to both the body and mind.
