Alexandra Taylor

Meditation

Alexandra first discovered meditation when she began a yoga practice to help her navigate through some difficult times. The overarching sense of wellbeing she experienced during and after the sessions left her feeling inspired and curious to find out more. Alexandra’s journey led her through a variety of courses in cognitive therapy and transformational coaching, but her heart always remained firmly rooted in the benefits of a regular meditation practice. Her work is based upon a core belief that when we truly relax our minds and bodies we are able access our essential nature of happiness and wellbeing. The time we allow ourselves for rest and relaxation is arguably one of the most underrated tools we have for our health: it is what enables us to THRIVE in the modern world. In her classes you can expect to experience a variety of techniques, including guided visualisation, breath work and relaxation therapy. Alexandra is a gentle and intuitive guide and with her support you will learn how to release those difficult parts of you that been holding you back. You will leave you feeling wonderfully balanced, connected and restored.

Meditation is not about learning to empty the mind of all thoughts, rather it is the art and science of letting go and accessing the stillness within us. Thoughts are a natural part of human existence, but when we learn to be a non judgemental observer of them, we can listen to our innate wisdom. Meditation helps to bring you back from the stories and fantasies of your mind and into the present moment so that you can fully appreciate your abundant life.

Alex knows how to make sure you are comfortable and relaxed, and ready for the session. It was a wonderful experience that I’d recommend to anyone who is working through something and wants guidance in the process.

MORE ABOUT Alexandra Taylor

I love being by water. A river, a pond or lake. But mostly the sea. For me, it has the ability to transcend any real world problems. I love wildlife and beaches. I love my friends and family. I love life everyday, through the ups and the downs.

But trust me, this wasn’t always the case.

There was a time when I felt totally confused. I lacked any confidence and felt like I was losing who I really was; what it was to be ‘me’.

And then through a brilliant yoga teacher, I found meditation. At first I was sceptical because I wasn’t spiritual and it all sounded a little bit “woo-woo”. But by then I was desperate. Quite quickly I noticed the changes my practice had on my life. My energy levels increased, I felt lighter, more self assured and in control. I discovered that it was okay, brilliant actually, to just be me.

And I recognised, that there were thousands of people just like me who shunned the idea of meditation as something not for them. I want to change this by sharing my journey and show people the life changing magic of meditation, regardless of gender, age, race or religion. Meditation doesn’t require sitting like a pretzel alone in the mountains. Meditation is for EVERYONE which is why the focus of my classes is in teaching accessible meditation tools that make it easier to navigate life’s challenges.
