Yin Yoga Workshop with Jessica Ellerby-Stewart
Saturday 3rd June | 2.30- 4.30pm
‘The spiritual journey requires that when ready, we cast off the armouring that confines us so that an interior soul-self, tender and less constructed, can emerge. The process of unpacking and letting go begins in the body and involves a passage from outer to inner.’ Donna Farhi, ‘The Practice is the Path’
It is only by taking momentum out of the equation (slowing down) that we can give ourselves the space to deeply open up the body and mind and become conscious of anything that we might be holding onto. From this place of awareness, we can discern what is no longer of service to us and invite ourselves to let go.
So let us pause, slow down and soften with an extended Yin Yoga practice. We will observe each layer of the self (without judgement!), move energy through areas that have become blocked or stuck and let go of that which is holding us back. The Yin yoga practice is centered around floor-based postures, which are held for several minutes using props as supports. This workshop is suitable for every ability and level of experience.
