Touch is the most ancient of healing practices, bringing respite from physical aches and pains, and also aiding in psychological conditions such as depression, eating disorders, and stress among others.
In this two hour workshop, we will first work individually on techniques for self-healing, and then team up with a partner for an introduction to Thai Yoga Massage, where you will be guided to do and experience a simple Thai massage sequence while fully clothed, as is the tradition with this style of massage.
We will be working from the feet, legs, hands, arms, to the back and head, using applied pressure along energy lines of the body, and also moving the limbs into yogic positions to unblock energy channels. By the end of the session, you will have learnt a simple sequence to practice at home. Come with a partner, or be paired up on the day.
