The Muktabodha Indological Research Institute (MIRI) is a charitable organisation dedicated to the preservation of sacred Indian manuscripts. It seeks out and identifies sacred Sanskrit texts that may be at risk of destruction or permanent loss, and takes steps to digitise them. The digitised texts are then freely disseminated globally through its digital library, thus providing the global community of Sanskrit and Indology scholars and enthusiasts with an invaluable resource for research and study.
Join David Katz, Chair of MIRI and Mark McLaughlin, Head of its Academic Advisory Council for a talk on the urgent need for the digital preservation of endangered Sanskrit manuscripts.
