Following her pregnancy, Mariel was reminded that balancing upside down is as much about body awareness as it is strength. In this workshop she will break down the biomechanics involved in handstanding, while taking you through drills and a flow to strengthen the right body parts! You don’t need to know how to handstand to attend this workshop, but having the confidence to go upside down is encouraged.
Explore new territory in your yoga practice and learn the tools to work with your fear so you can accomplish your dreams.
The workshop will start with a fun and energetic flow, before moving on to partner exercises. These exercises will focus on going upside down, mostly in handstand, with the security of a partner to spot. We will wind down with some ab exercises and deep stretches, ending with a nice long savasana.
