FUNCTIONAL YOGA FOR SPORT 40HR TRAINING
• 36hrs Contact, 4hrs Assignments
• Yoga Alliance Registered YACEP® w/ Sophia Butler-Cowdry E-RYT 500
• Starts 15th May 2021
OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE
Are you a yoga teacher or physical therapist wondering how yoga could benefit your clients who regularly do sport?
Whether you’ve just qualified, been teaching for years, or never taught yoga before (but work in physical therapy), this training is for you. It will give you the unique skills, insights and understanding necessary to work with people whose sport affects their body. There will also be a strong focus on the mental aspects that can affect sport performance.
You will start from the bottom up, learning to assess and identify your clients’ needs and then applying a physical yoga sequence to match those needs. You will learn how to adapt ‘traditional’ yoga poses to the specific requirements of your client, within both an informal/amateur setting and a professional environment.
