THE PROGRAMME

Are you looking to deepen your knowledge and empower your teaching?

Ideal for yoga teachers, whether recently qualified or more experienced, this Yoga Alliance certified 25-hour training is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to empower your teaching. Our mission is to create an immersive experience of learning and self-inquiry that encourages you to show up confidently in your life with purpose and meaning.

This course is divided into three modules. You have the freedom to join one, two or all three. The foundation of the course is 25 hours, however teachers have the option to gain a 30 hour accreditation with optional assignments.

The comprehensive curriculum will cover anatomy, asana, functional alignment, yoga history and philosophy, pranayama, meditation, intelligent vinyasa sequencing, hands-on assisting, teaching methodology, ethics and the business of yoga.

Our programme is both teacher training and life training. You will learn how to navigate the totality of your human experience – physical, mental and emotional – with skillful awareness and curiosity. In getting to know yourself better, you will develop authentic ways to share the teachings of yoga with others.

THE PYC APPROACH

Yoga is the unity and integration of all the parts into the whole. We believe in an integrated, experience-driven approach to learning.

Our training is structured around 3 thematic modules where we explore the holistic relationship between asana, biomechanics, pranayama, meditation, sequencing and the real-life application of yoga philosophy.

Each module is delivered both online and in-person. Prepare to deep dive through active practices, lectures, discussions, interactive group work and practice teaching.

MODULE 1

Optional Assignments (2 Hrs)

ASANAS & HOW THEY UNFOLD

In this module, you will learn key alignment points on an anatomical level to better understand the purpose of yoga asana. By taking a closer look at the various elements of a pose, you will be able to make connections between basic and more complex postures.

This module is open to students and teachers.

MODULE 2

Optional Assignments (2 Hrs)

 

POSTURES: VARIATIONS & DYNAMICS 

In this module, you will learn the different variations offered to each pose and what you are looking to achieve physically and dynamically. Understand when to take variations to suit your body and ability and how to maintain correct alignment through each of them.

This module is open to students and teachers.

MODULE 3

Incl. Assessments/Practicum Exams (2 Hrs)

POSTURES: CUEING & ADJUSTING 

In this module, you will learn important cues to deliver when moving your students through a sequence to best support their practice. Understand how to offer effective verbal adjustments and when it is necessary to offer physical adjustments. 

This module is open to teachers only.
