200HR YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

Do you love yoga? Maybe it’s time to share that passion with others. We’ve been helping yogis take the rewarding step from student to teacher since 2008. Your time with us will both challenge and encourage you, sparking passion, igniting curiosity and developing the skills to excel as a yoga teacher.

SPRING COURSE 2024

RYT 200 | Mar – June 2024 | Runs over 6 long weekends

SPRING COURSE 2025

RYT 200 | Sept – Dec 2023 | Runs over 6 long weekends

WHAT IS YOGA TEACHER TRAINING?

Learn how to teach the classes you love to take. We teach you the principles of alignment, movement, observation, sequencing, assisting, and yoga wisdom. Learn from the most experienced and inspirational yoga teachers, through practice teaching, partner work, and group discussions. Grow in our supportive environment and take your practice to the next level – in learning to teach others you’ll find inner confidence and the courage to live your dreams.

An extensive yoga background is not required to join the training. We do not believe your ability to perform asana is an indication of your teaching potential. To be a great teacher, you must first be a curious and conscientious student. Therefore, the 200hr course is perfect if you want to teach or if you wish to deepen your knowledge of yoga.

WHAT WILL YOU GAIN FROM THIS YOGA TEACHER TRAINING COURSE?

Once you have successfully completed the training you can register as an RYT 200. High standards, an in-depth curriculum and an experienced faculty of passionate instructors ensure that training with PYC will be the best decision you ever make. Many of our alumni over the years have joined us as teachers here at PYC. Our objective is to help you take the rewarding step from student to teacher. Once you graduate we offer a follow up mentorship programme free of charge, as well as Continuing Education courses for advanced learning.

INCLUSIVITY SCHOLARSHIP

THE DEADLINE FOR THE SPRING 2024 COURSE HAS PASSED. APPLY FOR SPRING 2025

PYC is committed to the cultivation of a community that is inclusive, equitable and diverse. We recognise that the yoga industry has historically lacked diversity, and we are determined to support marginalised and/or minoritised ethnicity students who are passionate about yoga.

We offer 1 full scholarship per training to an underrepresented yogi who has the aspiration to teach yoga but would be unable to attend the training without financial support.

By offering this scholarship we hope to not only support the development of teachers from diverse backgrounds, but also promote inclusivity in the yoga community. Through empowering our students we hope to create more opportunities for underrepresented communities leading to more understanding, more connection and more accessibility.

Scholarships are available for yogis who identify as marginalised and/or minoritised ethnicity, who are committed to sharing the power of yoga with their community but are experiencing financial barriers to education.

If this sounds like you, find out how to apply here. Please contact us if you have any questions.

As founders of PYC, we have a very strong vision of the level we wish new teachers to attain when they complete the training. Watching them grow in confidence, skill and knowledge during the course of the training is simply mind blowing and seeing them teaching a class by the end of the training is the best feeling ever!
