All Level Power Yoga
Power Yoga is a very active form of yoga that follows a series of postures designed to improve strength, balance, and flexibility. Each class is independently sequenced by our teachers, offering varied, fun, and dynamic classes that will keep you on your toes. Power Yoga is our specialty. You’re guaranteed a dynamic, exhilarating, all-over workout.
Level 1 Power Yoga
If you are new to Power Yoga, this class offers you the perfect opportunity to learn and refine its basic techniques at a slower pace. It is a must for newcomers but it is also recommended for for regulars, who would like to brush up on the basics and proper way of practicing Power Yoga.
Restorative Yoga is a powerful healing practice for everyone. It allows us to slow down, and inherently harmonizing the nervous system, which is our foundation. Join us as we allow the body to self-heal, self–regulate, and release layers of tension starting with gentle yoga poses, before moving into stillness with restorative poses, and leading to a blissful relaxation. We use props, to help the body to relax and renew.
Power of Yin
Yin is a slower style of yoga, which works our deep connective tissue. Students are required to hold individual postures for much longer than they would in a typical Power Yoga class. Yin Yoga focuses on target areas and our own unique bodies, to release connective tissue, improving flexibility and energy flow within the body and leaving you feeling a deep sense of relaxation and calm.
Pregnancy Yoga prepares you for labour and birth with the use of breath, gravity and movement. We use adapted postures to release tension and create space and poses that are useful for labour so that they become familiar and comfortable. Work with your changing centre of gravity and understand how your posture can help to get your baby into the best position for birth.
Postnatal classes are suitable from 6 weeks after birth. They release tension in the shoulders and upper backs that often get locked from feeding and carrying. We also work on strengthening the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. We use postures that are helpful and beneficial at this time and have the opportunity to begin exploring new strengths as you progress with your practice. Babies are welcome at the class.
Yoga for 5-7 year-olds is a fun class combining yoga postures, games, and creative movement. The 8-11 year-olds class teaches children a full range of yoga postures and introduces them to practical techniques to calm and focus the mind. Yoga improves flexibility and strengthens growing bodies, improves concentration, and provides tools to manage anxiety around exams. In these happy, positive classes, children learn to relate better to others, and gain more poise and self-confidence.
If you have had a cancer diagnosis and you wish to take up yoga this class is a safe refuge for you to come and practice. Yoga can help relieve fatigue caused by chemotherapy and radiation by strengthening the large muscle groups of the thighs, abdomen, chest and back. You can make the class as challenging or as gentle as you want. The class will increase your strength and range of motion and give you a greater sense of wellbeing.
